We took many of the existing flows, reduced user dependancies, and melted some of the roles together, all while prettying up the UI.
The Results
After this demolition of existing flows, opening communication, and simplification of the roles app, we completed our goal and landed our first paying customer, Republic Airways. We then acquired defense contracts with the US Airforce.

Republic now helps airlines save millions of dollars in fines per year via Beacon. For every unscheduled minute grounded, the airline gets fined by the FFA. Beacon ha been shown to greatly shorten ToT in most cases.

Problem
Based on interviews, we found the current flow is problematic.

Mechs within an airline organization can only see cases if all statements are true:

1. Their company is requested  
2. They’re toggled on duty
3. Within certain distance.
4. They apply and are approved to the case

This flow slows is unrealistic and slows down their work, as they cant interact with a case until approved.
“How might we provide more visibility and autonomy for the mechanic, empowering them and creating a faster return to service for airplanes?”
